This Introductory clinic will be done without horses. We’ve found this is the best way to teach riders about the 4 phases of Working Equitation: 1)Dressage, 2)Ease of Handling (obstacles), 3) Speed (obstacles) and 4) Cattle. The clinic will focus on the rules and requirements of each phase. We will have a full Ease of Handling course set and walk each obstacle to discuss what the judges are looking for. Once we’ve reviewed all the obstacles and rules, we’ll put it to the test with an actual course walk to discuss strategies for riding both Ease of Handling and Speed courses.
New USAWE rules for 2026 are available on their website.
